As early as the 90s, our experts had already understood the importance of taking care of the scalp and letting it breathe. Observing that there is no beautiful hair without a balanced scalp inspired the birth of the brand PHYTODESS in 1996—PHYTO stands for the richness of plants and DESS for the expertise of Maison DESSANGE (This innovative range gets its inspiration from skin care rituals and it naturally integrates into its scalp dedicated products some emblematic ingredients, including clays, known for their virtues both absorbent—pollution, sebum, styling products, dandruff—and adsorbent—mineral transfer… )

100% Made in France since 1999, PHYTODESS* hair care formulas are designed and manufactured at the DESSANGE International Group's production site in Guidel, Brittany – ISO 9001 certified.
PHYTODESS also offers controlled and supportive sourcing of its iconic ingredients, as part of its POSITIVE SOURCING programme. The brand pays particular attention to the origins of the ingredients by selecting responsible supply chains, which are respecting biodiversity as much as possible and promoting the development of a local economy with local communities.

The PHYTODESS product formulas are developed with respect for Nature. Our formulas are silicone-free and guarantee a high percentage of natural ingredients. They meet very precise specifications, with the shortest possible compositions, without ever compromising on sensoriality. A return to simplicity, driven by the requirement for great transparency.
In addition, the packaging of our products is eco-designed, the main objective is to Reduce, Recycle and Reincorporate. Reduce, with—for a very large majority of hair products—end of cases* and reducing the plastic of tubes and jars. Recycle, with 100% recyclable packs**.

recycled. Our range of Symbio Sun products—intended for exposed hair
