He famously transformed Brigitte Bardot into a blonde for her role in And God Created Woman, creating the iconic beehive hairstyle that became synonymous with her image. He also worked with Elizabeth Taylor, Marlene Dietrich, and Ava Gardner, Marilyn Manroe among others, solidifying his reputation as the "hairdresser of movie stars" and cementing his partnership with the Cannes Film
